Hello, my name is Amanda Raudabaugh and I would like to welcome you to my Professional School Counseling portfolio.
Education:
I am a two-time graduate of Shippensburg University, in Shippensburg, PA. I earned my Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Human Communications from Shippensburg University in 2012.
Then in 2012, I applied to Shippensburg's counseling program, which is a CACREP accredited program, and was accepted to the program. Through Shippensburg University, I earned my MED in School Counseling PK-12 certification in 2015. In addition, my education from Shippensburg prepared me to pass both the School Counseling Praxis Exam and the National Counseling Exam.
Because I enjoy learning I have recently earned my Mindful Leadership Certification through Atlantic University as well.
Current Employment:
As you can can see, I really enjoy working with students and have been working with kids of all ages and in all sorts of settings throughout my life, including but not limited to the following settings: babysitting, working as a daycare teacher, teaching swim lessons, working as a camp counselor, coaching kiddy soccer, volunteer assistant coaching collegiate track and field and cross country, and working as an Academic Coach. My hope is to find a job using the counseling skills that I have gained and the talents that I have, in order to provide the support students need to achieve their academic, social/emotional, and career goals.
In addition to my counseling skills in my leisure time I enjoy running, playing soccer, being creative, doing yoga, and reading. I am a hard worker, energetic, enjoy challenges, and have been called a go-getter. I have always loved learning and tend to enjoy researching new topics and trying new things. I am also a big believer in the Mindfulness technique called Mindful Movements and plan to incorporate the exercises into my counseling practice. I cannot wait to use the skills and knowledge that I have gained from my various life experiences, jobs, and schooling in order to help others.
Within my portfolio you will find my resume, the courses I have completed to date, my professional experiences, projects I've created, and my professional membership information. I hope you enjoy my professional portfolio and if there are any questions please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Thank you for looking at my site.
